Sangay Yoepadmey or Buddha Amitabha is one of the five primordial Buddhas. He resides in the palace of great bliss (Nubchok Dewachen ghi Zhingkham). If one supplicates to him with great sincereity and devotion, one will be freed from untimely death and obstacles in this life, leading to prolonged longevity free from sickness and suffering. Following one’s death, one will create the conditions to be born in his paradise, Nubchok Dewachen ghi Zhingkham. Ultimately, purifying one’s defilements and the 4 obscurations, realize the true nature of your mind and attain Buddhahood. Therefore, recognizing the benefits of supplicating to Buddha Amitabha, the Bhutan Centre routinely conducts prayers dedicated to him. May it be auspicious!
